About 3 The Glen

A truly delightful mid-terrace cottage, one of four nestling into the wooded bank and just yards from steps which lead down onto the sandy Glen Beach in Saundersfoot. 3 The Glen is beautifully renovated and extended to a high standard by an interior designer and retains many original features with lovely wooden floors, feature fireplaces, wooden shutters and Victorian style roll top bath, yet with a modern practical twist. The light and airy open plan living space has a beautiful, fitted cottage style kitchen and comfy seating area. Its glassed gable end has french doors which fold back across the rear opening the living space to a decked patio making for wonderful indoor/outdoor living. The patio is a sheltered sun trap leading to a lawn where children can play, while you enjoy a summer evening barbecue. The spacious bedrooms have beautifully coordinated luxurious drapes and offer a welcoming relaxing retreat.

Enjoy the wonderful, dog friendly, sandy beach on your doorstep. At low tide you can walk round the beach to Saundersfoot, or otherwise the heart of Saundersfoot is a mere 10 minute walk away via road. There is a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops to explore; as well as a pretty harbour and wonderful, long sandy beaches including Coppet Hall. Try your hand at some of the watersports on offer or alternatively explore the high coastal footpaths through the woodland right outside your door. After all that exercise relax and pamper yourself at the nearby luxury spa at the St Brides Hotel; the infinity pool is well worth a visit with scenic views over Saundersfoot harbour.

Tenby is only a 10 minute drive away, while Wiseman's Bridge and Amroth lie in the opposite direction. Or why not enjoy the near by family attractions such as Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm, Manor House Wildlife Park and Heatherton World of Activities.

Park your car from the moment you arrive and you will instantly relax in this gem of a holiday cottage.

The Glen is approached via an A road. Small gates and three steps wide enough for a wheelchair lead down to a gravelled front garden which leads onto the front porch with no step. This has two good lights operated from inside. The front door has a small step up, then all the ground floor accommodation is on one level including the decking to the back of the property and the flat lawn to the rear. The decking has metal patio furniture including a bench, table for 8 with parasol and 8 chairs, 2 sun loungers. The bedroom has a TV with teletext and remote control. There is also a chaise longue for sitting in the bay window which has internal shutters. The kitchen has extensive work top surfaces and low level oven. It has a sink and dishwasher in an island in the middle of the kitchen. The island also has stools and a breakfast bar. The dining room has a large corner sofa, good lighting and a TV with teletext operated by remote control. It is light and airy due to skylights in the roof and huge bifold doors which can easily be opened to expose the entire room to the decking and garden beyond. The garden is long, narrow and level, laid largely to lawn and with a gravel pathway extends to approximately 1/5th of an acre. Guide dogs welcome. Public transport (local bus service) approximately a quarter of a mile up a fairly steep hill to sheltered bus stop. Tesco shop is on line and they will deliver to your door.

A return visit and it didn't disappoint! Wonderful cottage and locations and the weather added to our great week here. We'll be back again.

The Bowcher Family

We've been coming to this part of Pembrokeshire for over 50 years and this was one of our best holidays. Cottage is lovely. The weather has been fantastic and barbequing freshly caught mackerel most evenings. We've already booked next years visit!

The Cragg Party

What a glorious week, celebrating Mum and Dad's 4th wedding anniversary. Blue skies and sunshine all week. Great beach at the end of the road which we walked along to get to Saundersfoot. BBQ'ing of an evening with fresh fish from Tenby. We went mackerel fishing one morning with Tenby Fishing and caught 9 fish! Visited Bosherston Lily Ponds and had cream tea at the local café, then onto Broad Haven South and lunch at the Stackpole Inn. The children loved the garden here. Very comfortable house with everything we could ask for. We will be back!

The Bletcher/Parsley Party

We have all had a very enjoyable holiday here. Loved the location, garden and the cottage- very stylish and comfortable. Good weather added to the holiday. Can recommend Folly Farm, Tom (8) loved the big wheel and dodgems and Kitty (2) liked the play area. Stackpole Quay and the walk over to Bosherston Lily Ponds is a great way to spend an afternoon. For a different day try Colby Woodland Gardens above Amroth, pond dipping, duck racing and rope swings over the stream, all in a beautiful setting.

The Jones Family

Really excellent holiday with the added extra of seven days sunshine!! Holiday made with the excellent cottage, spacious, well equipped and well located for the beach, town and access to other areas. The area provided really good for trips for all ages including very active toddler and the other end of the age range. In spite of long journey from home, its a very tempting venue for a return trip!

The Knight Family

We had a wonderful time at your beautiful house and would definitely return. Fantastic position, close to the sea and beach!!
